Behind this mask I hide,
Slowest form of suicide.
Trapped in the solitude,
With no where to run.

Why does no one hear?
When I call out for help.
No one to lend an ear,
In this silent storm i'm trapped.

I lock it all inside for fear,
Empty promises never kept.
Hollow hope eventually fades,
Life full of blacks, whites, and grays.

Why do they judge?
They know me not.
Distancing myself because,
They're all the same.

Life isn't fair,
Truest statement ever told.
In a world where no one cares,
Slowly turns a warm heart ice cold.

The life of an outsider,
Proves to be a rugged and treacherous path.
No heart is truer, stronger;
Than the one constantly tested in this journey we call life.
