Admiring the sparkle as the water comes down
Falling from the sky
Spreading out across the ground
Freezing as it lands
Just like the darkness of life

We see this and realize
IT'S COMING
That dark, cold season
Approaching from the west
Causing grief and pain

Winter is upon us
Slipping and sliding across streets and sidewalks
The snow makes it dangerous
We still manage to survive and go along with life
Hoping for that warm spring season ahead

As the weather becomes warmer
The light begins to shine again
The snow disappears along with the darkness
The rain starts again as we,
