Something More
Awaiting happiness
 Pondering while I sit
 my life a mess
 because I can't quit

 thoughts of leaving
 bring a hungry emptiness
 I begin bleeding
 into the abyss

 My blood is me
 expanding outward
 always evolving
 changing into me

 An outside force
 opposes thee
 confused such as I
 on this timeless search

 Our bloods transfuse
 stirring each other
 taking a droplet
 This we can use

 Blood for fuel
 I continue on
 like a parasite
 I am fed

 by others pain
 marching forward
 for the source
 of others strain

 my heart unquenchable
 never to be extinguished
 burning at the core
 waiting for something more
