Hide Behind Masks

Just because you're pretty doesn't mean you have to act dumb.
Just because you're classified as a "prep" doesn't mean you have to act like one.
People hide their true faces behind masks.
People pretend to be something they're not.
They do this because life is a game, some people hide in their own shame and others just play the game.
People say they're fat when they know they're not.
People say they're ugly when they know they're hot.
People act it's just what they'll do, so never act like someone else always try to be you.

wow, i really loved this poem. it was awesome how you rhymed at some parts but not every single part, it really brought the poem together. i can totally agree with what you're saying, i have tons of friends who are so thin but say they're fat and its soo aggravating!
well anyway i enjoyed the poem and if you've written anything else i'll be sure to check it out :)
