Estes Park, Colorado
Estes Park. Where the giant ball of flame warms the morning in the mountains.
The temperature, not hot, not cold.
Where the mountains hold up the sun like a boy holds his trophy.
Everything is peaceful.
In the morning
The mountains pull up the sun
In a game of tug-a-war against heaven.
The mountains win till noon
Past noon the angels give the sun to devils.
Who take it to the other side of the earth.
Night forms and the moonlight comes to life.
Colorado.
A peaceful place.
The leaves sway in the wind.
It’s better camping there.
