Love is War
Cold and tired eyes, wet from tears--
look up at the person, see hope and fear
Don't bother to realize the danger they seek,
only gain knowledge that it makes them weak
Prepare and plot, devise an attack,
sense-filled thoughts are what you lack
Smiling a smile, so wretched and sick,
(weary, you think "Get out of here, quick...")
In another life, I'm waging war;
in one, it's love like never before
Stand by to witness our fall,
all the time we'll laugh through it all
(Just as if we had to clue
as to life or what we do)
"Hey, did you get the homework done?"
"Yeah, just let me get it out..."
