There’s want
and there’s need for you.
But what when love
can’t see us through?
What happens when
the time is gone
and we then see
what’s been strung along.
Will we look back
say we did good?
Or hold our heads down
and think about what could?
What should we do when we part?
Should we stay smart
and leave each other alone?
or should we play love
and call each other’s hearts our home?
