being numb is not that great...
Ignore life.
Ignore the pain.
Ignore the hurt.
Ignore everything that makes you feel broken.
its easy. its hard. its natural.
When you've been hurt a million times
you get afraid,
scared,
and then the thought comes to youre head.
i wont let anybody hurt me again.
so you hide.
you ignore life.
you pretend tha you dont care
but you do.
You thought that it's gonna be easier that way.
You thought wrong.
There's a point in that life where you find yourself so deep
so deep in the dark where no light is at sight.
a point where youre hurting yourself,
feeling sorry for yourself,
feeling hopeless,
useless,
a point where youve given up to everything that's worth living for.
a point to life itself.
so when you do ignore everything that's real
start second guessing
because when you do it
its gonna take a lifetime to get back to who you really are.

‎"I’m learning how to drown out the constant noise that is such an inseparable part of my life. I don’t have to prove anything to anyone. I only have to follow my heart and concentrate on what I want to say to the world: I run my world." - Beyoncé
Anyway, I like the meaning of this poem and your word selection too.
