Writer's block
Ever try making yourself write poetry?
Well, I'll admit, its not easy
You stare at the screen for a long time
Just trying to think of words that rhyme
You can't force yourself to write
But if you're lucky, ideas will take flight
But only if you can do what you dread
And for once, stop using your head
Poetry is nothing more than an art
These lines spring from your heart
So just sit down, and before you know it
You might just, perhaps, be a poet
Now, luckily for you, my patient friend
This wreck of a poem draws to an end
Though my attempt was utterly futile
Maybe your poem can create a smile
And maybe a simple attempt to write
Can make someone's day bright
