My mind leaps
From word to word
Then off the page
Out of the scripted world
And into reality

My mind dives
Into the pool
Of problems and troubles
Of happiness and fun
Of fear and sorrow
Of gee and excitement

I close my eyes
Hold my breath
And feel the words
Rush over me
