Like a butterfly she hides
From people she doesn’t know,
Gracefully flying by,
Peacefully alone.

Like a butterfly she’s fragile,
Wind and rain can bring her down,
This lonely life has made her frail,
She’s weak when she’s on her own.

Like a butterfly she’s colorful,
Both inside and out,
Nothing about her is dull,
If only the world would figure that out.

Like a butterfly she’s beautiful,
Although she doesn’t know,
Too scared to get too close,
So they can tell her so.
