Last time, in thestorage
Room, after taking the stairs
Down, two
Atatime, to the chilled, cement
Basement, to tearout, for school,
Lined pages
From the riffle-edged notebooks,
My eyespotted in the sink,
Three dark,
Leggy housespiders fighting,
And tried not tolook, forfear.
Great fear.

Next time I hadto venture down,
I glanced firstat the sink, for
Safety’s sake.
Only two spiders—good. We
Needed less of thosecreepers in
The house anyways.

But supposethat the third had
Found away up the steep walls
And was
Outsomewhere inthe

...

RUN.

These aren't spelling errors. The run-on words imitate the little scream of fear your heart does when it skips a beat. Sooo... scared of spiders? This is the poem for you! ;)
