Maybe Friends
To love a friend
 That loves you back
 But is chained down
 Is hate your self

 It’s the greatest thing
 In the world
 And the worse

 You can’t explain it
 The feelings you can’t express
 The things you can’t do

The happiness that needs to stay bottled up
Only to be uncorked in the dark
 Where on one can see

When she’s not on my mind
Then I must have heard a gun shot
Nothing can distract me, not from her

 Our time together is sparse
 Not enough in my opinion
 There’s never enough time

It’s great to spend time with your friends
But it’s wonderful to spend time with one you love
Especially when the love is shared
