Unlocking Admiration
Break my body, let me laugh
Stepping on green and broken glass
 Running on grass, lungs expanded
near rolling hills I am open-handed
but my fingers graze and linger
across your curls, and I’m your favorite singer.
My voice to you is light and true
and captures the colors of green and blue.
I’m painting through your monochrome mind,
 stalling and staining your line
of thought that cannot be bought
whether the price is caught or not.
The tangles and knots in my mess of gold hair
only bend and twist the curve of your stare
toward my eyes of the autumn trees.
The beating of the seven seas
could not stop the force between you and me.
The electricity is shown in a single shock
between our hands we grasp as we breathe and walk
in this flowered field. My wounds have healed,
the holes in my skin have finally sealed.
Your curing kiss has touched my lips.
I have the entire universe at the tips
 of my fingers.
