Rain!

Rain is falling down
Everybody's scattered among the doors and windows
It's been forever since it's rained
How everyone has missed it
Begging the teachers for no work
We just want to listen
Listen to the rain hit the pavement
Hit the grass
Hit the windowsill
The music the rain makes is a wonderful sound
Playing in the rain is fun too
Take the shoes and socks off and run
A puddle here
A puddle there
Puddles are everywhere
The mud seeping between my toes
It's been way too long
BAM!
Thunder booms in the distance
It just adds to the music
Lightning cracks in sight
Not caring we just keep playing
Rain
For now don't go away
