An old fashioned belief
Simplistic views
Where boy meets girl
Destined to happily ever after
Romanticized from long ago
Stories of true love flourishing
Built up this four letter word
Adding to the terminal meaning
Betrayed though a test of time
Lost in between the pages
Translated false predictions
Deceived and cheated
Overused and overrated
Broken hearts
End to marriage
Happiness is not forever
Buried eight feet under the ground
Love is dead

No, I don't think love is dead and I don't agree that love was absolutely perfect in "the good ol' days".  But your poem is excellent and you have good imagery.
