She's asleep, but it's awake
That robot girl in her place
Stealing glances through glazed eyes
Sleeping girl, possessed tonight.

Out of bed, cold feet on the floor
Mechanical hand stretches for the door
Her brain is lost in a fog of dreams,
But her glass eyes aren't as they seem.

Moving slowly, one foot at a time,
Lead soldier marching in a straight line,
Her brain is numb and sleeping too
But the zombie girl knows what to do.

Into the kitchen, open the drawer,
Shadows lurking in every corner,
But she can't see them, feels no fear,
Because she isn't really here.

Heavy and dangerous in her hand,
Shining silver in the moonlight,
Peer through the blackened window
And you would see a startling sight.

But nobody can see her,
As she holds up the stained knife,
Cause' when sleepwalker returns to bed,
No-one is ALIVE!

The author's comments:
This is a poem that I wrote about a girl who sleepwalks, and when she is asleep she turns into someone else. Someone scary! This is inspired by the fact that I used to sleepwalk and I think it's quite fascinating and a bit creepy how I never rememberd anything in the morning. But trust me, I never did this when I sleepwalked!!!
