Filthy
dirt,
covers the windows as the rain pours
grime,
covers the windows as the rain pours
filth,
covers the windows as the rain pours
these windows once were clean,
pure,
untouched
and now the filth hangs
the crevices and cracks
now lay riddled with the dirt
each grain of sand holds dreams,
memories,
love
but only mere shadows
as you glimpse through my windows
the rain just pours
