Every Body on the Dance Floor
Everybody on the dance floor, let the music play, your body sways
Back and forth, side to side, in rhythm with the beat.
The DJ plays on and on, the music never stops.
You grab your partner and become one in dance but I.
I dance alone. The music plays and I continue a dream of
Mythological feelings and concepts that seem to never exist.
I dance alone. No partner to stand by, no rhythm to move to but mine alone.
The smoothness of the flow is gone and the music takes me over.
Everybody stands on life’s stage, let the play move on, allow your body to sway.
The drama goes in and out, over and over, following the lights of the day.
The Director waves his hands; the show goes on and on.
You grab your mask and hit center phase but I
I play alone. The play continues forward motion and I shall play my part never
Ceasing, always moving, to the unspoken rhythm of the lines.
I act alone cause there’s no one to act with.
The chi of the story downs out the jeering, and the lights cover my sight.
Everybody’s standing at the door; the fear of it strikes us all. Let your body fall away.
The music is gone, but the play moves on and on till
Forever eternity. The Judge is the Jury and the beats are made by one.
No partner to grab, you are alone, and now it’s your turn to
Turn the tables of the play, to dance your time away.
Today you stand at deaths door and most of you tremble in terror. But I
I dance in front of deaths gate, my journey comes to a close.
The curtain call, the final song
And His love overwhelms me.
