Parch-ed duke or wretched drunk
Ne'er can be inebriate
When sipping ale-- or sipping air
And pondering its flavor
And-- rich goblet, of Christ's blood
To the thinker-- useless is!
And chemist, curious of the brewed,
Knows little of
The gay
So-- let caution be thrown to the wind
Nay!-- to famished pit
And-- let man be ignorant
Of aftertastes on breath

Incredible, simply incredible. How can you possibly bear so much likeness to poets who lived centuries ago, and yet send your own messages (in the modern world)? This is a wonderful statement regarding, I believe (with my limited mind), the shortcomings of Man. Whatever your message, the poem is marvellous.
