Sometimes I begin to wonder
about the life we live
the people in it
what makes us who we are
why do we do what we do
Sometimes I begin to wonder
what each of us is thinking
what does it mean
that look in your eye
the spring in your step
what are you thinking
in the chambers of your mind
Sometimes I begin to wonder
what it is we see in ourselves
do you see the sparkle of your smile
the shine in your hair
do you see the kindness of your touch
or the calm in your voice
do you see what makes you, you
