he's screaming at me again
fists raised,
quickly losing his restraint...
loud, explicit, vulgar language and words
drowning out the gentle truths in all of yours
i'm crying again
wrapped in your arms,
slowly calming down...
your words, his words bouncing around in my head
desperately trying to hold on to the truth
you're angry again
holding me gently in your arms,
trying to avoid the tender spots...
whispering words in my ear,
trying to save me
