"I hold it true, whate'er befall;
I feel it, when I sorrow most;
'Tis better to have loved and lost
Than never to have loved at all."
- Alfred Lord Tennyson

I look into the mirror, I don't know what I see

All I know, it isn't me.

Carry on I must, for there are things to do

But I ponder upon thee, what did I see?

I look into the mirror, I HATE what I see

It tears up, every part of me

Carry on I must, for there are things to do

I wonder how to find a remedy.

I look into the mirror, I break down crying

I can't stand, all the lying

Carry on I must, for there are things to do

Looking to escape, I don't know what to do...

I see darkness... I hear crying...

The pain inside me is absolutely thriving.

I let them down, in such a haste

For I was replaced, by my choice...

With pain and suffering instead of my voice...

I am transgendered so this is taken directly from my emotions. I have let out my depression through my writings and this was one of the first poems I ever wrote to release the dark feelings I had.
