Drowning
I’m sinking slowly
Slightly smiling.
Always knowing
But never telling.
I want to stay
Forever drenched
In the depths of your soul.
So I feel it till I can
No longer breathe.
The secrets are spilling out
I finally know that
I want to be trapped
Inside your ocean
Living in your underwater world
And be the starfish you’ve been looking for.
It’s yours to keep
I’ve locked it up inside the chest.
But it’s buried deep
Inside my ocean.
You must dive in to find it
So you can hold it and cherish it
But first you must find the key
Then you will forever be
Mine. I’m drowning, but you will never rescue me.
