The Silver Moon
I look out onto the glossy water
Nothing but the smooth, clear surface
The crystal- like tides
Washing upon the rocky sides
The reflection of the silver moon says exactly
Twelve hours ‘till noon
I lay on the swing by myself
No one else is around
Ever since I was three
Underneath that same ole tree
Suddenly a sound arises onto the horizon
I glance up at the silver moon still giving off its light
I know that everything will turn out to be okay
With my head resting on the swing
Looking onto that glistening lake
Thinking of this very spot brings a smile to my face
Swans form a huddle going as one
And now I’m resting because the work is done
The silver moon so icy and nice
Shines constantly throughout the night
I look out onto the glossy water
What do I see?
Nothing
But the silver moon
