The Truth Behind the Tears
We all have fears
 Usually death
 But dry your tears
 And hold your breath
For though the ways of love are strange
As are the ways we deal with life
But we will always have to change
For we shall always have strife
Now I cry until my eyes refuse
And hate myself for being weak
For I am not someone to use
So when the world seems bleak
Ill cut myself with love’s sharp blade
And bleed out all my soul’s pain
And the scars of sin and hate don’t fade
The sorrows of life always remain
Ill drug myself with lies and tears
And get drunk off of sorrowful delight
And try my best to pretend my fears
Don’t come creeping in the night
To reap my soul of all its love
For I am fallen and lost in the dark
And not even an angel from above
Could hearken me back into light for hates made its mark
A lonely soul is all I have left
My all my everything has gone again
As if they want to leave me on a cleft
For this decision is all I am
To stay forever in sorrow’s cruel hand
Or jump into an ocean of false promise
Be lost in a dark and evil land
Or to wander amid a forsaken mist
Guess I didn’t drink enough to say you’re lovely
I cannot hold on to thee
For my heart is black and ugly
 Wonder what’s wrong with me
 So dream sweetly my dear
And be lost within love’s light
For when you wake I won’t be here
For I am lost in night
 Don’t try to follow
 For the path is unforgiving
And that hate it shall swallow
 All that is living
So take this tear, my gift to you
 All I have is this
So that your soul evil cannot undo
Remember me and all the bliss
 For now I must go
 And always know
That though our goal is non-existent
 We will keep believing
