My Shadow

Living in the Shadow,
Never stepping in the spotlight.
Can't create enough of my own shine,
Always dwelling in the night.
Others see my success,
I don't know if they see
My flaws.
But I remember all my imperfections,
and the failures they have caused.
Living in the Shadow
of my own expectations.
Someone I can never be.
She is so much more talented,
Always one step ahead of me.
