Ghosts Lament

She wonders across the yard
The dark night mist swirling around her
Making her looks almost human from afar
Up close, the details are revealed
Her face covered with only half of its skin
The other half is showing bone
Her eye dangles
And the flesh is mangled
As if burned
Once she reaches the tree
Where this hideous deed was done to her
She begins to wail
Her ghost lament
