The rain is falling
from the dark gray clouds,
accompanied by a loud crash
and quick flashes of light.
The rain is falling,
hitting the ground rapidly,
forming small pools of water
and wetting everything in its path.
The rain is falling
against my glass window
making beads of water
slowly inch their way down.
The rain is falling,
emptying out the sky
from its dark gray clouds
allowing the sky to turn blue.
The rain is falling
not just for clear blue skies,
but for that path of color-
for that rainbow-to show.
