Precious Children
Bend down to kiss the faces,
Of memories we've wasted.
We've parted, rest in peace
All the lost souls,
Soft souls,
Who cannot bear the thought
Of losing one another
Smile lightly across the room
at the solitary children,
Wishing, but not dreaming
About angels’ love
Clouds above
And all that seems impossible
We cannot see
The light in
The tunnel, but don’t fret
What if, instead of these dank tunnels we settle
It’s just that our eyes
Are shut tight
In fear of the dark?
