THE EMPTY CAGE
One day I went to the zoo,
The feeling was new,
Everything was silent,
As the man turned violent.
There was no roar, there was no noise,
What happened to the zoo,
May be the cause was an unknown death,
Life seems like a pause, as fauna hold it’s breath.
The cause was loss of life,
The extincting wildlife,
It was the result of human rage,
Suddenly I saw an empty cage.
And as I peeped inside, I looked..
Reading a note my head shook.
“it is for u” as the note said,
The man was moving so fast, he was too ahead,
He left the nature behind,
He forgot that once he was kind.
Imagining myself in the empty cage,
Behind the bars for an age,
Makes me wonder how will I stop this rage,
Cause in future there will be no homes to live
But only the empty cage..
