Don't go around saying the world owes you a living. The world owes you nothing. It was here first. - Mark Twain

You told me once,
Long ago,
of kings and castles,
of knights and woe.
Of demons and dragons,
and the heroes who slew them,
but to me
you were the greatest of them all.
You took me over the seas;
we dug up buried gold.
We laughed and danced
and cried and played
and scorned those who would call
me home again
from the pages
of my book.
