I Will Wait

it is a death defying task for me
to stand upon my own two feet
to sit and wait patiently
while the world is racing all around me
i need to run, i need to dance
i need to stand up and take a chance
I'll rise up. I'll skip the easy route to fame
I'll stand out and beat the world at its own game
some changes here have to be made
because this is driving me insane
but you tell me, "wait my son, you must wait."
so in the silence i will wait
