Losing Yourself
Do you know what it’s like
 To lose your best friend
Little by little, day after day
 Over nothing at all
 They all forget about you
Because you have nothing to say
 You sit in the darkness
 The quiet background
 Silently supporting them
And they don’t even appreciate you
Only invite you when they remember you exist
 Living a lie
 Being two different people
 Sharing the same body
The person they know and accept
 And, meeting someone knew,
 Being someone different
 More of yourself
 Less of them
 Losing them
 Over nothing
