Reality
Although the cloud looked inviting
as I stepped on
it changed into nothingness.
Suddenly the cloud vanishes
from beneath me.
I am free falling without a parachute.
The wind lashes at my clothes
the water molecules sting my skin.
I could taste the blood
now forming in my mouth.
The ground hurtling towards me
I know I am about to die.
Suddenly there is nothing
only a defening silence
and the smell of grass beneath me.
As I lay there, I think to myself
"it's true what people say,
about reality catching up with you."
