My Heart

My heart is strong,
But it can still break,
So please take it for what it is,
And not for what it could be,
Hold it as if it was made of glass,
Or as if it was something precious,
Because a heart should feel love,
And never should it feel that of hate,
Show it kindness and show it gratitude,
Show it that there is a hope,
Show it that there is a need for it be whole,
My heart will grow stronger with every beat it takes,
Even if you say it's growing weak!
