I lay in a field
Miles away from home
Hidden away behind
The tall grass
And flowers

I love to spend my days
Surrounded by the earth
Taking it all in

Soaking in the sun,
Hearing the whispers
Of the wind,
The presence of
The souls yet
To leave to earth

I get lost
In the clouds,
Taken away
By the smells

This is how
I spend my days
In a home away from home

Wow, This is absolutely beautiful. I like the stanza "I get lost/ In the coulds/ Taken away/ By the smells." Great work, Five stars! Do you think you could look at a few of my works?  Perhaps you'd like Lonely Fires, that one is anonymous on accedent, though so you'd have to search.
