"Whats the point of growing up if you cant be childish sometimes"

The most exquisite thing you can be is nothing but yourself
Yet most people are shams these days
Splendor doesn't rest in appearances
Beauty comes from the heart
The morals
The noble objectives of a person
Most fail to grasp
If they are true to themselves
Rather than conforming
To the ideals of social influence
Everything would be superior
You are not just anybody
You!
Yourself
Is unlike anybody else
You are beautiful
Because you are irreplaceable
In the world of today
Individuality is a technology
That seems to be disremembered
Most people spend their lives hypothetically locked up
If you take a closer look at the lives of those who are open
It's almost as if you are looking at humanized gold.

This poem is for people who just need to realize that who they are makes them beautiful, how being themselves to the fullest makes them more beautiful then ever.

Now Cinderella don't you go to sleep, it's such a bitter form of refuge, oh don't you know the kingdom's under siege, and everbody needs you. - The Killers

The message of this poem is really great, and I have read thousands like it, but yet this one really does seem to stand out. The word choice is excellent as is the overall theme with which you wrote it. The last line is particularly great, though I thought you were going to say golden... (The Outsiders is in my head) :) Great work. Do you think you could check out my poem sometime? It's called Sowing Poppies.
