Feeling of a Forest
As the rain takes a sudden halt
Droplets are placed on pine needles, fresh grass and wild weeds
Taking a deep breath I inhale the crisp air of a forest
That’s full of the rich smell of rain
Over head my eyes are full of olive green leaves
Their dark color seems to cover the bright sun and gentle clouds
The forest is like no other---
Full of smooth leaves off an oak—
Even poky needles of an pine tree
*

*
My surroundings give me a hint of joy
That only a forest grants to me
When the silence is shattered by the croaking of toads
It comes with a the harmony of crickets
*
*
*
A chill skips up my back
Goosebumps rise across my bare arms and shivering legs
While my shoulders sink along with the light and warmth from the sun
Up arise the stars and the glimmering moon
The stars act like crystals
Leading me home
Along with a slight cool breeze
One last time I take in the feeling of a forest
