Walking Contradiction
Why do I feel as though I don't deserve respect?
Like I'm a peasant and not a princess?
I am not worthy, I give to whoever accepts
Only to think later of the consequences
I understand I am held accountable,
But feeling good doesn't measure up at the time being
To focus on me, is all I need
I feed off of attention because I am thought of
I am simply a walking contradiction
Giving advice and never listening to my own
One day I will reach a dead end on the road I take.
