Fairytales and the Color Pink

There was a time when everything was a fairytale
Everything we wore had to be pink
Everything we owned had to sparkle.
There was a time when Barbie was our friend
Everything came alive
And everything we saw was new.
There was a time when we could talk all day
Everyone thought Prince Charming existed
And everyone around us was smiling.
What happened to this time?
What happened to these dreams?
And what happened to our childhood?
