"You can't help others, if you yourself need help" -my sister ;) love it!

I feel as if the warmth of sun has neglected this side of the earth,
The leaves have left us and won’t be back till next year,
And the weather seems to be giving me the cold shoulder lately.

I feel as if this is the season of desertion,
For the lovely birds that wake me in the morning have gone away,
The sunrises come when I am not awake, and the sunsets have left when I come home.

Sometimes I wonder why everything has been chased away all of a sudden,
Is it the freezing cold that is here day and night?
Or is it, I dread to think, because of me?

I wrote this away back. Don't get me wrong, it is my favorite season, but I thought this was an interesting way of looking at it.

Great poem! As I read it the first time, I kept thinking about how strong and true your descriptions are, even though I love Autumn, and when I read that it's also your favorite season, I was taken aback. It's impressive that you write so beautifully and powerfully from a perspective that's not your own.

"I know how it feels to be completely alone and helpless, and the last thing you want to hear in that situation is, 'It's going to be OK. ' The only thing that seems to really help is that someone else who has felt that low expressing those feelings"

Perfect. I wrote like this about the trees. I love them, but gave them a darker image. It's interesting when you can take something you love and warp it so you still see what you used to see, but at a different angle. From a different eye.
