Hush.
Hushhh” to quivering fingers.
“Hussshh” to twisted hairs,
Worried in circles, around and around,
“Hussshh” to broken nerve endings,
Be still my beating heart
They will find you if you don’t
“Hush”, the locked doors, “Hush”, the barred windows, “Hush”, the
“We just want to help you. Let us
Help you.”
I seen some go by on stretchers. Their wrists locked down
In plastic. I know what they want to do to me-
Force me into a corner, yellow walls, to inject and sedate, so
“Hussshh” my trembling lips, corners come down and
“Hussshh” the raw wrists I just want to bleed
Or they will find me and I don’t want
Help.
