You see fields of corn, I see fields of cotton.
You see fields of corn, I see fields of cotton.
We are both man, made by God, but that has been long forgotten.
When I see you I see red, anger, frustration.
We fail to remember that we both fought for the freedom of this nation.
Such freedom has been let loose, we bind ourselves with rage.
Freedom isn't free when we construct this idiotic cage.
We boast self-sufficiency to all who visit our shores.
We lack rationality by excusing our sins of lore.
The tales of horror (they happened), we excused our fellow beings.
We trod on, with holes in our back, presuming all to be unseen.
I bet the animals chuckle at our lack of cooperation.
They exist quite well with small amounts of gestation.
There comes a time when one must think, on account of such prejudice: has this land that we call great, lost all common sense?
A nation build upon longevity, sweat and morality, has been reduced to a mass of infidels pursuing whatever the eye may see.
There is a plague of instant demand, and most all are complacent.
But why would they not be when their hearts and their lusts can be so readily adjacent?
I suppose not all is lost, there must be hope for redemption.
But with such disregard for God, that may be an out of date convention.
Speaking of God, praise be the king!
When did his worship cease to ring?
It seems that morality is all but lost art.
And with so many false false gods, so many get a false start.
So, you see fields of corn, I see fields of cotton.
Everything that once made us great, has all but been forgotten.
