SORRY MOM
My soul lies in-between the notes.
It’s written in black and white.
Lawyers, judges and doctors haunt me every night.
Doing what others want me to do.
Living up to their expectations.
Sorry Mom, I’m a musician.
I want to be who I want to be,
not caring what you think of me.
If only you could see what I see;
Music is my life,
My soul,
A big part of me.
Music talks to me in more ways then one,
it teaches me about life some.
It lets you enter their world
to explore new things and
see past what the blind eye cannot see.
