What Happened?
When dreams become memories
And nothing makes sense
And you finally realize
they were all in past tense
Memories repressed by
your unwilling brain
Broken-glass fragments
Run past without pain
Until one of them leads
To the breakdown of thought
"Maybe it happened so long ago
I simply forgot."
But how could you forget this-
Your traumatized youth
With no way to get answers
No bridge to the truth
No doctor or professional
Can tell you exact..
No others were there
And his brain wasn't intact
So go on without knowing
Why you've turned out this way
All you can really do
Is follow day after day..
After day.
