Early Morning Fairy Tale
Out my window
 Birds chirp
 Crowded on the telephone poll
Greeting the beams of early morning light

 It peeps
 Through the buildings
 Tall
 Grey
 Buildings of the city
 My home.

 It dapples
 The forlorn parking lot
 Glistening
 On the scraggly weeds
 That sway
 In the gasoline tainted wind

 Glass Bottles
 Glimmer
Like Diamonds in a fairy tale

 So perfect,
 In the light

 So fleeting.

 The sun skitters behind
 A building
 And the parking lot dulls
 Into reality.

 And again
 Is forgotten
In the hustle of daily life
