Before you
I've remembered who I was
Before you called me dear
Before you said my name with each breath
Before I held you near
I used to be happy for anyone who showed
But then you broke me
And the walls went up
I was too blind to see
I hear your voice when I try to sleep
When I close my weary eyes
You weakened me
I cannot escape your eyes so blue
It's like I've sold my soul
And I don't know what to do
I couldn't make comparisons
Before you shook my world
And now I can only compare them to you
My world is unfurled
Please leave me be
You've done your business
So go
