The Station
When the train clicks into here,
 following railroads of lives
who will make the climb, the leap
who will stand waiting, living asleep?

 Where does my story start,
 and where does it end?
This rocky road of truth and lies
this roulette game, he lives, she dies

 I hide beneath imperfect skin
 and sometimes life goes by
Dreams tie and bind my heart to me
When will these confessions break free?

One day soon I will do the impossible
this day I will defy conventionality
Crack my facade, let in the light
one day soon, I hope I might.

Soon the doors will slide closed
 shutting out mind-changers and late-comers,
we can't know where the rails lead

 I step on.
 Was it ever a choice?
