And by the way, everything in life is writable about if you have the outgoing guts to do it, and the imagination to improvise. The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt. ~Sylvia Plath

A haunted beauty,
Border between chaos and tranquillity,
Painted brilliantly a thousand shades of grey,
A sacred shine to new beginners,
Amongst the ruins of less sacred endings,
Storms brew, thorns protrude from the distant horizon,
Both beauty and the beast wait for the last petal to drop,
The silence can’t possibly hold its peace,
A dream, bound to this place for ever,
Rain will fall, Tides will turn,
But let the untameable be left still,
Even if it’s just for now,
Content to leave the glass unbroken,
At least until the last petal falls.

This is not just about Scotland, but what I left behind there. But the landscape and country was so inspiring, and reflected so much of my experiences, that I wrote this poem.
